GOVERNMENT REBATES, DONT BE FOOLED!
Rebates [Government STC] Residential and Commercial in QLD
This is a trick often used by pushy salesman trying to corner the customer into a purchase. it is one to be very wary of!
The usual line is "You have to buy now to make sure you qualify for the rebate as they are taking them away soon".
The honest answer is that one knows when the rebate prices will fluctuate or be removed outside of industry updates. Their is even a chance that they could go up from where they currently are! This equates to more money in your back pocket. Like anything government related the STC amount [Rebate] can go either way with little to no notice.
Should this force you into making a purchase? NO. As long as you deal with an honest installer that uses quality product at a realistic price you cant loose!
Can the rebate be removed? YES, however not likely anytime soon!

TIER 1 SOLAR PANELS! WHAT DOES IT REALLY MEAN?
WHAT DOES TIER 1 MEAN: Industry miss truth about Tier 1 Panels!
A common term that sales companies and manufacturers use is the 'Tier 1' rating. The Tier rating was developed by Bloomberg New Energy Finance Corporation and is basically used to rate solar panel manufacturers in terms of financial stability.
Unfortunately a Tier 1 ranking does not mean a panel offers the highest performance or quality.
If you would like to know more about how panel rating is calculated as far as quality please contact Hemisphere Solar. Happy to answer all of your questions!

SOLAR 101: Picking the right product for your investment.
This video has been provided by one of Australia's best sources of honest and independent product and service reviewers. Their is no point in re inventing the wheel when it comes to information and we back all that is said by Solar Quotes, so why not share this easy to follow Video!
Main key points we would like to point out that are covered within this video are as follows.
Quality, Quality, Quality! If you are getting quotes for cheap systems their is a good reason why it is cheap! You get what you pay for and will often end up with headaches within years of your purchase. Not to mention a real chance your installer and or manufacturer will not want to rectify any issues. We hear of this often and can lead to very costly repairs.
Make sure your product is well backed in Australia with a good supply network. This is imperative, try dealing directly with an overseas manufacturer for warranty claims should the need arise!
Do your research and read independent reviews online. Bad news travels faster than good news so this is a good indicator if your system will offer the reliability and performance you would expect.
Use an CEC certified installer and try to pick a local company with a physical location. Purchasing through an online retailer [Legally can not mention names] more often than not comes with many complications. They use contract installers to allow them to offer cheap product packages, this results in corner cutting to achieve the best financial gain and lack of care in workmanship. You will also find that when it comes time to service or repair your system the online retailer will not look after your best interests. We have to come to the rescue more often than not for these situations and all we can recommend is search online for customer service reviews if looking at an online retailer!

We are making a stand and have put together a list of the most frequent tactics, strategies and lies which are often passed on the to the purchaser.

SHADING: Make sure you do it right the first time!
The most common design mistake we see is customers whom install panels in shade effected areas. On the Sunshine Coast this is common due to the natural environment often effecting panel mounting areas.
Due to the way non micro inverter panels are wired up in series you stand to see a big performance drop if even one panel is exposed to shading! This could be from a tree, chimney or even satellite dish!
The good news is that you don't have to install optimisers on all of your panels.
Once we have a look at your location we can suggest the most cost effective way to isolate the effected panels by installing selective optimisers. This will help to keep the cost down on the install and boost overall generation!
